Museum visit

My museum visit to the legion of honor was great as it was my first time going to this particular museum. My favorite painting has to be the one on top showing the boats going through a powerful storm. I also really liked the statue of the thinking man and although most of the paintings were really beautiful i did not enjoy the sculptures at all.

I really like Raphael's "School of Athens", how it's a shows all of those great philosophers. I enjoy the mystery of trying to figure out who most of the figures represent or if most of those people are nobody. It does make me think who would be in this painting if it was made yesterday. Who are our great thinkers or artist, and would the paintings mostly contain politicians?

This is a Salvador Dali painting called Philosopher Illuminated by the Light of the Moon and the Setting Sun and its not a Flamboyant painting .It's very dark and gloomy portrait of a lazy man lying around and it represents my personality well because I am often lazy.

















This next drawing is a favorite of mine it idealizes overcoming obstacles and to me the drawing says don't except defeat and always try to get as much as you can out of life illustrated by the stiff arm to extend the play.









I also really like this painting of a lion wondering through the desert. It represents my love of travel and it's a classical painting that shows how big the world is and how there are many beautiful pockets of the world tucked away in the wilderness.
